Sparkworx describes it simply: computer support in your own home. PCs, printers, Wi-Fi and networks. Slow machines, a laptop that won't boot, photos that need rescuing off an old drive, a new computer that needs everything moved across. Customers mention Gavin fixing laptop issues "over the years" and always responding quickly.

The reason an electrician doing IT makes sense: fixing Wi-Fi properly is usually a cabling job. Access points where the signal actually needs to be, a hard-wired run to the office or the TV, a router set up so the whole house works — and the holes drilled by someone who is qualified to be drilling them.

Printers are on the Sparkworx list for a reason — they're the single most common call. Setting one up so every device in the house can see it, getting scanning back, sorting drivers after an update, and the small everyday breakages that make people give up and buy a new one they didn't need.

In Sparkworx's own words: "We also support HP refurbished corporate laptops and desktops at fantastic prices." Ex-corporate HP machines are built to a different standard than high-street consumer laptops, and they're supported afterwards by the same person who sold them to you. Ring and say what you need it for.
Why the two go together
A router in the hall cupboard and a house with solid walls is a physics problem, not a software one. The fix is usually a cable run to where the signal is actually needed — which means drilling through walls and working alongside mains cabling. That is a job for someone qualified to be doing it, which is exactly why Sparkworx does both trades rather than one.
A fair few things get sorted on the phone, and that costs nothing. When it needs a visit, it gets a visit.
