Lighting, switches & fittings

Replacing tired switches and sockets, hanging and wiring new fittings, downlights and outside lights.

New pendants over an island, downlights in a refit, a porch light that has never worked, dimmers that hum, switches that are cracked or scorched. Small jobs done properly and made good afterwards — one customer credits Gavin with "fixing light switches and making good my electrics" over a number of years.

Fault finding & making good

Tripping circuits, dead sockets, that one light that flickers — found, fixed and tidied up behind.

Intermittent faults are the ones other people give up on. Gavin works the circuit back methodically rather than guessing and replacing parts, and "making good" is part of the job, not an extra: the wall, the ceiling and the cupboard go back as they were.

You will not find a scheme number printed on this website, because a number on a web page proves nothing — registrations lapse, and anyone can type one.
